Magnesium-mica has been researched extensively to determine the bioavailability of its organic magnesium
content. Data supports availability to be equal to or better than magnesium oxide. It is an all natural
silicate product where each molecule contains magnesium, iron, and potassium. When consumed as a feed supplement,
the digestive acids decompose the silicate binding and the released nutrients are absorbed through the
intestinal wall. A major portion of the iron is free from the silicate binding, is in oxide form, and
consequently has less than 1% availability. This makes magnesium-mica an ideal choice as a pelleting agent and feed supplement.
